He Is RISEN!
The entire Christian faith rests on one single truth - He is Risen. The resurrection of Jesus is the transforming line of all creation and it has significant impacts on our past, our future, and especially our today. Join Pastor Ross on Easter Sunday as he explains the power and significance of Jesus' resurrection for His church.
How To Acquire True Wealth
We all have struggles with financial insecurity. Whether we have too much or not enough - if you put too much trust in your money - you are insecure. Why? Because finances are not true security. Financial insecurity has a cost because it robs us of the TRUE peace that comes from God. True security and true wealth come from God because He is the giver of wealth. True wealth is knowing and being known by the giver of wealth. Whether we have a lot of money or not, money is a tool to know the Father’s love, affirmation and care. Knowing him is the greatest value. When we are faithful to Him with our money, we are freed from the burden of earning money in the flesh and we experience His joy in giving.
The Way of Cain | Genesis 4:16-25
The life of a Christian is a fight, a good and worthy fight, but a fight nonetheless. It is a fight to keep the faith in Jesus, when there is a World that continues to offer and entice us to follow its way, and seek comfort, and hope from its ways. This is the way of Cain and it only leads to sorrow.
Cain and Abel | A Tale of Two Sacrifices | Genesis 4:1-16
The story of Cain and Abel is more than just a morality tale warning against jealousy and anger. It is an example of two men and how they chose to present themselves to God, as a sacrifice. One follows the rules, but without the heart - while the other offers his heart.
Was it a Curse or was it a Blessing? | Genesis 3:8-24
Adam and Eve have sinned. They have chosen to go their own way and are now under the sin and death's control. God's response is not one of punishment, but a promise of a rescue through Jesus Christ and the cross. God curses Satan for his treachery, but what He offers mankind is not a curse, but a blessing that will lead us back to Him.
Understanding the Fall | Genesis 3:1-7
Before we can really understand and appreciate Jesus as our Saviour, we need to understand what it is that He is saving us from. And there is no better place to start than where the fall of mankind is recorded - Genesis chapter 3. Here we discover the death that God warned Adam and Eve about, is more than a physical death - but a death that is experienced within our entire being. A death that results in a deep shame that we attempt (poorly) to overcome through trusting the Flesh.
The Snake in the Garden | Genesis 3:1
The Genesis account is where we discover or origin story. We are introduced to the main character, God; His love interest, the man and the woman; and now we are introduced to the villain of the story, the serpent in the garden - Satan.
The story of Satan is the ultimate tragedy, but it also contains lessons of pride and humility that we can carry into our walk.
Made for Community | Genesis 2
It's not good for man to be alone. We were created for community.
Made in His Image | Genesis 1:26-28
Who are we are why are we here? Those are two keys questions that all of us need to answer. The world would tell us that the answer is found in how you look and what you do. But God tells us that the answer is based on how He made us and the work that He has given to us.
