Our Shield, Support, and Salvation | Psalm 3

Psalm 3 is a description of King David at the darkest point of his life - rejected and pursued by his son's army. However among all his failures leading up to this point the psalmist also demonstrates an uncanny ability to trust in God. Like David, we are surrounded, enclosed and encircled by hardships. So much so that it feels like there is no escape from harm. How do we endure this? We can endure hardships by trusting that no matter what comes; God is our shield, support and salvation. When we trust Him to be those things for us, we experience His honour, His strength at work and His justice.
